I Stared at the ashes and rubble... Why did it always come to this? Destruction and death, and yet I know I started all this...
I hear 101 groan from his position across the dark and gloomy room. I frowned at that, why wouldn't he stay under for at least an hour at least before I had to punch him in the face again? I cross under the light cast by the large skylight before I kick him hard in the temple, the chains binding him to the wall clanking as his head snaps to the right and and he goes under again. “Sir, there's a message for you.” The guard says from outside the steel and oak door. His armor clinked slightly when he turns to say it.
“Patch it in then.” I say to him from the desk, only to get the response “It's a courier Sir.” My head perks up, that's new. Important stuff came only by courier, and it's usually bad news. I get up and walk through the semi-tidy study, books and half-finished projects laying on tables and sometimes stacked on the floor. Catalyst's story part 3, section 1
I stare upwards at gray clouds roiling in-between streaks of the great blue ocean that is the sky. The wind tore at me, trying it's best to move something it cannot. The rain began it's decent onto the earth a little while back, the sounds conducting a long forgotten orchestra, the rain didn't eat at steel or stone anymore, nor did the great storms sweep across the city... once a ruin, now given a new light.
The rain didn't touch me, it never did, just bounced off like bullets against solid iron. I close my eyes and feel the beat beneath, the power that lay dormant. The flow came easily, like tracing lines in sand. I could feel the blue 'sm
